By using chess as a learning and dialogue tool, this initiative creates safe, structured environments for children and youth to build focus, critical thinking, and peaceful interaction. It offers a powerful, play-based model for youth engagement across divided communities.

This initiative established a public library accessible to both children and adults in Adwe, providing books for those who cannot afford them. It aimed to promote literacy, expand children’s imaginations through storytelling, and encourage community-wide reading and learning. A video projector was installed to screen and discuss educational films and documentaries. Additionally, participants rehabilitated the community center hosting the library, turning it into a functional, welcoming space for learning and dialogue.
