Food Security & Agriculture

Food is dignity. This area supports access to nutritious, affordable, and culturally rooted food—through meal sharing, community gardens, and local agriculture. These efforts nourish bodies and strengthen communal care, especially in times of need.

All of Us – كلنا سوا

Kelna Sawa empowered local farmers by offering eco-friendly pest control and fostering social cohesion among Syrian and Lebanese community members. The initiative promoted youth engagement, women’s leadership, and environmentally conscious farming through inclusive skill-sharing workshops.

Green Hands – أيادي خضراء 

This initiative combined education, agriculture, and social support by selling affordable seasonal produce while offering training on agricultural practices. It also distributed free produce to low-income families from multiple nationalities, directly addressing food access and financial hardship.

This initiative fostered social harmony by engaging people from diverse backgrounds in collaborative land work and maintenance of public facilities. By offering free plowing to local farmers who couldn’t afford it, the project not only supported livelihoods but also helped build stronger community ties and collective resilience

Baalbek’s Blessings – خيراتك يا بعلبك

This dairy production initiative offered affordable, additive-free products while distributing weekly food portions to 40 vulnerable families. It integrated persons with disabilities into production and social activities, while hosting recreational events for children.

Peace Families Level II – عائلات السلام – المستوى الثاني 

This initiative launched a communal kitchen offering saj bread, dairy products, and sweets, all produced by an 18-member team from diverse backgrounds. Alongside weekly food production, they hosted social gatherings to connect people of all nationalities and foster friendship and peace.

This inclusive kitchen project prepares meals for vulnerable families and promotes relationship-building between women from Jabal Mohsen and Tabbaneh. It challenges stereotypes and connects divided communities through shared labor and food.

A traditional food preservation initiative offering free mortar products to families in Jabal Mohsen and neighboring areas. The project fosters peacebuilding, knowledge exchange, and cross-community friendships through shared culinary heritage.

White Hands – أيادي البيضاء 

This humanitarian initiative involved preparing and distributing 50 hot meals weekly to vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian families living in the Bar Elias area. By offering consistent food support, the initiative fostered dignity, compassion, and solidarity across community lines.

Inspired by the cultural symbol of bread and salt—a gesture of welcome and peace—this initiative involved the weekly distribution of baked goods to 50 families over several weeks. Each package included a peace message, promoting solidarity and fostering neighborly connection across diverse backgrounds.

A group of 12 women trained through an ActionAid workshop prepared and distributed 1kg jars of preserved olives to neighbors from all national backgrounds.
