Peace Families Level II – عائلات السلام – المستوى الثاني 

This initiative launched a communal kitchen offering saj bread, dairy products, and sweets, all produced by an 18-member team from diverse backgrounds. Alongside weekly food production, they hosted social gatherings to connect people of all nationalities and foster friendship and peace.

Threads of Hope – Level I (خيوط الأمل – المرحلة الأولى)

This women-led initiative empowered selected participants through specialized peacebuilding workshops and vocational training in cooking, embroidery, and wellness care. It provided a safe space for cultural exchange, dialogue, and informal community gatherings—helping women build peace, economic independence, and lasting social connections.

Hope Makers – Level I – صانعات الأمل – المرحلة الأولى

Led by a group of mothers, this initiative created a welcoming play space where women and children from different nationalities could safely interact. It helped build friendships, challenge stereotypes, and promote understanding through shared activities.

AA Riwak – عرواق

A creative, dialogue-driven project focused on coexistence, AA Riwak created space for film screenings, art workshops, and open discussions. It encouraged shared understanding and stress relief through cultural expression and storytelling.

Impact – أثر

Over six months, this youth-led initiative hosted biweekly sessions combining conflict resolution, trust-building, and dialogue through creative methods. Young people from different cultures came together to reflect on peace, empathy, and coexistence.

Joyful Gathering – لمة فرحة

Lamet Farha brought cinema to underserved neighborhoods, screening films for children and women that promote peace and shared values. It created moments of joy, inclusion, and reflection for communities with limited access to cultural experiences

We get your trip started – Level I – بترحلك مشوار – المرحلة الأولى

Thirteen community trips brought together people of all backgrounds, including nomadic communities, to explore different Lebanese regions. Each trip included historical site visits, cultural learning, and shared activities—bridging regions through connection.

Velvet Sugar – سُكَر نواعم

A twice-weekly women’s baking and distribution workshop that helped women from different areas connect, relax, and share baked goods. It promoted mental well-being and cross-regional interaction through food.

A women’s care salon offering free and low-cost services for women unable to afford commercial salons. Weekly gatherings include beauty services and skill-building workshops, enhancingdignity,y and self-sufficiency.

The Kitchen – المطبخ

This inclusive kitchen project prepares meals for vulnerable families and promotes relationship-building between women from Jabal Mohsen and Tabbaneh. It challenges stereotypes and connects divided communities through shared labor and food.

A traditional food preservation initiative offering free mortar products to families in Jabal Mohsen and neighboring areas. The project fosters peacebuilding, knowledge exchange, and cross-community friendships through shared culinary heritage.

Our Village – ضيعتنا

This initiative revived local customs and traditions by organizing a community-wide cultural event that brought together Lebanese and Syrian families for a day of recreation, storytelling, and celebration in the village’s public space. The event promoted peaceful coexistence, eased tensions between clashing clans over a landfill dispute, and fostered cultural exchange between diverse residents.

A Cake of Blessings – كعكة البركة

This initiative brought together Lebanese and Syrian men and women to bake and package cookies at Basamat’s kitchen. Each package included messages promoting peace, coexistence, and mutual respect, along with an outline describing the initiative’s goals. The activity fostered cross-community collaboration and dialogue, while sharing symbolic messages of unity with the wider public.

Forward, Together – معاٌ نمضي

Two youth groups from different NGOs collaborated to implement a multifaceted initiative aimed at improving public spaces and promoting social cohesion. Activities included installing a village sign with directions to nearby destinations, conducting a village-wide cleaning campaign, renovating the public garden, and placing benches in communal areas. The initiative culminated in a joint trip bringing together Lebanese and Syrian youth from Adwe and Akkar to foster peacebuilding and challenge mutual stereotypes.

Nothing tastes better than this – مافي أطيب من هيك

This initiative brought together a diverse group of youth for a one-week scout-style program featuring sports, recreational, and cultural integration activities. Homemade food was served throughout the week, celebrating culinary traditions, while a dialogue session facilitated by HOPe helped foster mutual understanding. The initiative emphasized inclusion, cultural exchange, and community building among participants from various backgrounds.

 Friends – اصدقاء 

This initiative formed and trained a youth football team composed of individuals with past exposure to drug addiction and weapons use. By engaging them in organized sports, the project aimed to offer a positive outlet, foster discipline, and promote healthy routines. Football became a tool for transformation, encouraging resilience and social reintegration for vulnerable youth.

The Kindness Hall – قاعة الإحسان

This initiative involved building a communal hall designed to bring together neighbors from all nationalities under one roof. The space was envisioned as a shared venue for both joyous and challenging moments, and a hub for hosting future workshops on a variety of topics. The initiative promotes coexistence, mutual support, and continued learning

Side by Side – جنباً إلى جنب

This initiative provided media training to Lebanese and Syrian youth and launched a joint Facebook page to share their concerns, aspirations, and perspectives. The platform aimed to foster mutual understanding, reduce tension, and support the social peace process by enabling youth from both communities to communicate openly and without prejudice.

 Bread and Salt – خبز و ملح 

Inspired by the cultural symbol of bread and salt—a gesture of welcome and peace—this initiative involved the weekly distribution of baked goods to 50 families over several weeks. Each package included a peace message, promoting solidarity and fostering neighborly connection across diverse backgrounds.

The Gift of Peace – عطاء السلام

A group of 12 women trained through an ActionAid workshop prepared and distributed 1kg jars of preserved olives to neighbors from all national backgrounds. This symbolic gesture of sharing local produce fostered solidarity, hospitality, and peaceful coexistence among diverse community members, creating bridges through simple acts of giving.
