Youth Engagement & Empowerment

Young people are change-makers now. This area empowers youth to lead, create, and connect—through dialogue, leadership training, creative initiatives, and community projects. These efforts grow agency, build critical skills, and cultivate future-ready, peace-minded leaders.

Forward, Together – معاٌ نمضي

Two youth groups from different NGOs collaborated to implement a multifaceted initiative aimed at improving public spaces and promoting social cohesion. Activities included installing a village sign with directions to nearby destinations, conducting a village-wide cleaning campaign, renovating the public garden, and placing benches in communal areas. The initiative culminated in a joint trip bringing together Lebanese and Syrian youth from Adwe and Akkar to foster peacebuilding and challenge mutual stereotypes.

Nothing tastes better than this – مافي أطيب من هيك

This initiative brought together a diverse group of youth for a one-week scout-style program featuring sports, recreational, and cultural integration activities. Homemade food was served throughout the week, celebrating culinary traditions, while a dialogue session facilitated by HOPe helped foster mutual understanding. The initiative emphasized inclusion, cultural exchange, and community building among participants from various backgrounds.

Completed

Side by Side – جنباً إلى جنب

This initiative provided media training to Lebanese and Syrian youth and launched a joint Facebook page to share their concerns, aspirations, and perspectives. The platform aimed to foster mutual understanding, reduce tension, and support the social peace process by enabling youth from both communities to communicate openly and without prejudice.
